Green Village

Green Village is one of the most well-known bamboo projects from across the world. This innovative concept of a community of sustainable bamboo homes will blow your mind. Green Village has taken the bamboo revolution of Bali to the next level. It has proven that design can truly be an intersection between the wisdom of ancient structures, and the flexibility of modern techniques.

The unique design and structure of the bamboo homes in this ‘village’ are helmed by Elora Hardy of the IBUKU team, who gave the project a shape along with her father, John Hardy.

Green Village is located on the banks of the sacred Ayung River. It constantly reminds its visitors of the incredible possibilities of locally available, natural materials. Located nearby is the Green School, a private institution that teaches sustainable living, and is world-renowned today for spearheading the sustainability movement.
